We use advanced 3D printing to provide you with accurate orthodontic appliances that are custom-made for you and will help improve your oral health and the appearance of your smile. We will take a digital impression of your smile that we will use to design the appliance, then create your appliance in our office. Creating your orthodontic appliance in-office allows for a shorter overall treatment time and a reduced cost.

What Do We Use 3D Printing For?

With 3D printing, we make custom, smooth clear aligners to straighten your smile and retainers for minor tooth movement in order to keep your smile in place.

What Do I Do if I Lose My Retainer?

If you lose your retainer, do not worry! Dr. Knierim saves digital scans of your teeth for our records, so if you lose a retainer, you can bring in the printed model and our orthodontists will remake the retainer at a discounted price. If you do not have a printed model, contact our office. You will need to reach out to us within one or two days of losing your appliance.

We can also mail out retainers. For example, if your child is away at college and has lost their retainer, call us as soon as possible and we will be able to send it out.
