In order to prepare accurate, thorough treatment plans, our orthodontists and team need to have an accurate, thorough view of your entire mouth. Our team uses iTero® digital scanning to do just that. By capturing 20 full-color images per second, the iTero digital scanner helps us create accurate three-dimensional, digital models of your teeth and bone. The full color in these models makes it easy to identify potential oral health problems, such as diseased tissue, visualize the effects of different treatments, and create appliances that fit more comfortably and function better in your mouth. We are even able to show you what your smile should look like once your treatment is complete!

The actual iTero scanner consists of a small wand that one of our skilled hygienists or our orthodontists will pass over your teeth and use to quickly take the photos needed to fully scan your mouth. As the scan is happening, the complete, accurate photos will be immediately saved to a computer to simultaneously create your model. This entire process will only take one scan.
